Situated in the Rivertown neighborhood of Tarryhill, this client’s home needed an unfinished basement to be thoughtfully reimagined to better serve the needs of a young family. Housemade Design transformed the space into a warm, colorful, multi-purpose space designed for everyday living, creativity, and quality time.

The new basement was envisioned as a get messy family space – where parents and children can gather to watch movies, play games, get crafty, or simply unwind together after a busy day. Balancing functionality with comfort, the design incorporates durable, family-friendly materials, generous storage solutions for toys and art supplies, and flexible zones that adapt to a variety of activities.
